As a student in the intensive CLI program, I received four hours of private Chinese lessons every weekday, which, as you can imagine, dramatically improved my language skills. On some days, if I got up early enough, I even participated in dawn tai chi classes with Colok, a Chinese teacher who regularly practices this ancient martial art with “his” students on CLI’s spacious rooftop. My relatives, friends, and university colleagues who are going to learn Chinese ask me to tell them about my experience in Guilin and how I have succeeded so quickly in learning the language. I also spent several hours in one of CLI’s many study booths in the afternoon, surrounded by textbooks and flashcards, reviewing the material I had learned in class. On weekends, when there was daylight, I biked along the Li River or participated in one of CLI’s weekly excursions-the famous Yangsho Baths, the ribbon-like rice terraces of Lunsheng, and the ancient villages preserved among the bamboo forests were just some of the frequently visited places. When the hallways became noisy again, I headed to my second two-hour class, where I moved on to a new class, corrected a written essay or took the opportunity to review the material under the guidance of my experienced teacher. Although I had studied Chinese for several years in the United States, I always thought my language potential would only truly unfold in China. Put these two pictures together, add a few hundred karst limestone mountains, and you find yourself in Guilin, a strange and refreshing corner of southern China, a special place where I was lucky enough to spend my summer vacation. CLI, a language and culture school whose mission is to build bridges between China and the rest of the world, would be the ultimate catalyst for developing my love of the Mandarin language. Once I decided I needed to find a way to get there, I searched the Internet for language schools to attend and came across the Chinese Language Institute, or CLI for short. On days when I was feeling particularly confident, I would sit at one of the Mandarin Only tables and try my best to keep up with the native speakers as they interacted with the students and teachers.

In this article we will give you some tips and vocabulary with correct pronunciation so that you can communicate effectively about body parts in English. With what you have learned, you should be able to have a simple conversation and say what is going on with your body in English. You probably already know some words related to the human body, such as nose, feet, or eyes. I hope you have now learned something about body parts in English. The next time you have to talk about your body in a medical emergency or in everyday conversation, you certainly won’t have a problem with it. However, you will have to learn a little more to be fluent, especially if you are on vacation in an English-speaking country and you have an emergency. Your body is like your home, so it is very important to know your body parts. As you may have noticed, the list of body parts is quite long. For example, do you know how to say “you have a headache” in English? Or how to talk about an internal organ? But don’t worry. Limbs are necessary for moving, manipulating objects, working, and interacting with the outside world, to name a few. Muscles allow us to move objects, propel ourselves, and perform functions such as smiling or chewing. Bones provide support, shape, and structure to our bodies. See the table below for more information about limb details in English. They also provide protection, such as the skull, which protects the brain like a helmet, and to which the facial muscles are also attached. It is here that most of our senses, which are necessary for communication and perception of the outside world, are located.

Although I just talked about the usefulness of 田字格 for writing characters, there’s another great pair: a water pad and a Chinese brush! These notepads are actually Chinese notebooks in the form of cloth. TIP: If you want to learn Chinese well, avoid online translators, they will only confuse you, especially if you are new to the language. If you want to learn Chinese, feel free to repeat phrases on the bus, subway or on the street! There are some great tools, but one of our favorites is ChinesePod. As I mentioned earlier, having a Chinese “teacher” can be very important when you’re trying to learn a language. One of the best and most interesting ways to learn Chinese is through Chinese movies, TV shows and music. Holly joined the Writing China team in July 2014 and is one half of the British podcast Two White Chicks in China. Recording your voice during a conversation in Chinese and listening to it can help correct difficult problems later on.

Arlasoft: Another finished game, this time Galaga’s big brother, Galaxian! All enemy attack codes have been transferred directly from the Z80 arcade for authenticity, and it also includes a two-player cooperative mode and an accelerated playthrough mode. Galaxian became the second best-selling arcade game in 1979 and 1980 in Japan and the second best-selling arcade game in 1980 in the United States, where it became one of the best-selling arcade games of all time, with 50,000 arcade units sold in 1982. Galaxian has appeared on Indie Retro News several times before, mostly because it’s a classic arcade game that home developers love to clone with special effects and add-ons. This time we’re going back to the original 1979 hit, as Arlasoft has ported this classic retro shooter to the C64, complete with all the nostalgic elements like sound effects and waves of animated enemies. Wikipedia says of this game, “Galaxian was Namco’s first big hit arcade game. A great game for the C64, especially since it was made by the same developer who created the ports of Galaga, Taz, and even Fast Food. The game was highly praised for its gameplay and use of color graphics.” You can download it for free or play it in your browser. Developed by Blogger.

New Amiga news for those who have been following our recent updates regarding the OCS Amiga conversion of the classic arcade game called Kung Fu Master, created by Graham Covey, Ten Shu and DJ Metune. We’ve covered the upcoming conversion many times before, and since the beginning Graham Covey, Ten Shu and DJ Metune have been working hard on their version of the 1984 classic Irem arcade game, with the game becoming more and more impressive with each new update. So you’ll be happy to know that the game will not only be called Devil’s Temple – Son of the Kung-Fu Master, but will also be a spin-off with lots of cool levels and a combination of some of Vigilante’s best features, such as weapon grabs and extra player movement. Since the game is a spin-off of Devil’s Temple with a new look and quirky additions, we’re still looking forward to another version of King Fu Master that will feature the original arcade graphics. In addition to this news, Graham Covey showed off the game’s incredible title screen. Producer: Blogger.
We’re not here to judge but we also argue that the other
We’re not here to judge, but we also argue that the other person will wonder later what went wrong and may still be offended or hurt-so don’t leave the scene as gracefully as you might think. Instead of walking away in silence, we’ll give you some ideas on how to respectfully let others know what’s going on – and perhaps reassure some. It’s not pretty, but it’s understandable that when a situation becomes unpleasant or unacceptable, you don’t want to openly insult or offend someone by telling them that it’s not about you, it’s about them. And just to be clear, if you’re afraid this person is a creep, there are no rules except that you should only do what you think is safe. Now you’re a candidate for a position, but you’ve decided you don’t want it. At this point, we’d be guilty of two things if we didn’t consider: if this is someone you have a history with and care about, you obviously need to have a more detailed conversation with them than we can lay out here. Another scenario: you meet someone for a cup of coffee, take a walk by the lake, laugh at their jokes, see the concern in their eyes, and conclude that’s all you need to do with them. Scenario: Someone offers you a particular job, but you don’t know if you want it. The key is to be polite, leave the door open for other opportunities, and give people time to move on to the next candidate. After careful consideration, I have come to the conclusion that it is not appropriate on my part to continue the application process, and I am respectfully withdrawing my application. That’s fine, and it’s not the same as bringing it on. It’s an underrated skill: finding the right words to politely walk out of a situation or relationship without becoming a “ghost.” Maybe I’m wrong, but it seems to me that you’re interested in something I’m not. I don’t want there to be an unpleasant relationship between us, so I wanted to be honest. Thank you for taking the time to review my application and tell me more about the position. Again, you can keep a low profile and pretend to be invisible when meeting in public. Even if you’ve never heard the term “ghosting,” you’ve probably encountered it – and perhaps experienced it personally.
