A few weeks ago, the host appeared on HBO’s popular late-night show, talking about his disdain for people who watch popular gamer games like “Fortnite” and “Grand Theft Auto V” on Twitch. Critics say that watching nice people play video games on Twitch is a waste of time, but can’t the same be said for watching a UFC fight or a late-night show that is no longer relevant? Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but the host said that he thinks people are wasting their precious time watching gamers. I was curious, as were people of all ages who follow famous or popular gamers on Twitch. For someone who likes to watch HBO series or players on Twitch at night, that may be true, but we all have different tastes and interests. Am I wasting my time watching baseball? Maybe, but it doesn’t seem like a waste of time to me. I’m guilty of watching some episodes twice, and I don’t feel for a second that I’ve wasted my time. Personally, I’ve never seen a player play on Twitch, but I often watch Major League Baseball. Watching a great show can also be considered a waste of time. Do these critics really know what a player’s live stream rating is? It’s never short. Nevertheless, watching a television series is not much of a criticism. I would never criticize anyone else’s choice of entertainment.
