Pearson English Spring Days is also a free online learning event that focuses on professional development, exploring the latest trends, and discussing current issues in English language instruction. During the first plenary session, Professor Ken Beatty, an expert in language education from elementary school to university, will review the impact of online learning over the past year and explore the challenges and benefits for teachers and students. The first Pearson English Spring Days were held in 2020 in response to dramatic changes in teaching and learning caused by the pandemic. Jane Forrest is director of global marketing for Pearson English Language Teaching. In this panel, our last session of Spring Days 2021, she will talk about her experience and how they have fully embraced blended learning. Each Spring 2021 webinar is live on our platform and lasts about an hour. Our instructors will talk to you about the future of language learning, provide helpful tutorials, and share tips you can put into practice in the classroom. She has a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in online and distance learning and lives in London, UK. As part of her marketing function, she is particularly interested in creating new ways for professionals and experts to collaborate to achieve excellent results in language teaching by sharing experiences. From there, she moved into the world of EFL publishing, where she held positions in marketing and digital publishing as well as marketing intelligence, research and teaching before joining Pearson in 2017. A year later, many of you are still teaching online or in mixed or hybrid contexts. This year’s event will be entirely online from May 4-6, 2021. What else do we have for you this year?
