Chinese New Year – This is why Chinese people continue to
This is why Chinese people continue to eat jiaoqi during the Chinese New Year, as they are considered good luck charms that bring wealth. Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, marks the beginning of the new lunar cycle and is considered the most important festival in China. During the 16 days of the festival, “lucky goods,” particularly tuan nian fan, are served that are supposed to bring good fortune in the coming year. Chinese New Year is synonymous with reunion: a time to leave the past year behind and open the curtains for the new year. Unfortunately, almost all of these events have been canceled this year due to Covid-19 social distancing measures, but I’m afraid that’s not the case, as the low-key approach to safely celebrating with friends at home seems just as refreshing. This is the city’s major annual holiday, and under normal circumstances there would be plenty of festivities such as the dazzling fireworks over Victoria Harbor, the frantic rush to the Wong Tai Sin Temple, and the flower markets and lion dances that can be found throughout the city at this time. Like any self-respecting Chinese, I plan to dress in red, party till I pass out, and join my family at Zoom. If you’re still not convinced to eat all that metaphorical food to get a good start, try making these delicious jiaozi and baozi at home and you’ll definitely change your mind. This will be the first year I don’t go home for the vacations, but it will also be the first year I have to hand out red packets instead of getting them. Food is one of the things Chinese people are most proud of, so much of the holiday revolves around eating together. My Chinese heritage comes from the southern province of Guangzhou, and when my grandparents went to Malaysia in the early 1950s, they took their culture with them.

I’m still dreaming about these pinot empanadas and have been writing this post for hours! I’d love to know what you think of Chilean food. If you’re wondering what American salsa is, it’s a mixture of sliced cucumbers, pickled onions and pickled carrots. After eating a lot of fried empanadas in Colombia we really liked the fried Chilean version. There is a very funny TV show called “Gringolandia” about a Chilean man who moves to New York with his new girlfriend. Another popular dish is Pastel de Choclo, a sweet and savory dish that is essentially the Chilean version of shepherd’s pie. If this cocktail is too much for you, don’t worry: Chile has plenty of delicious and cheap wine.
Flashback – Nintendo – It may seem simple but the devil is
It may seem simple, but the devil is in the details, from the game’s graphics, sounds, music, controls, to the easy to learn but hard to master premise, you’ll have a hard time finding fault with Hurricane if you’re not into the run-and-gun genre. Remember how we said these games were incredibly difficult? There’s also a “Rewind feature that allows the player to rewind part of the game to learn the pattern and overcome the challenge through trial and error. New controls are welcome and make the game accessible, even if you’ve never played Turricane before. So if you’ve ever played a Turricane title, whether on the C64, Amiga, Mega Drive or SNES, you know what it is and what you get. Aside from this minor flaw, the content of Turrikan Flashback will satisfy or even disappoint you if you’re not used to an extremely high level of difficulty. Best of all, you’ll enjoy the fantastic graphics and brilliant music by Chris Huelsbeck on the Amiga, which took this racing game to an extremely addictive level. We fondly remember the Manifred Trenz game Turrican on our Commodore 64, and then its sequel, Turrican II, on the Amiga. Oh yes, we also remember the difficulty level: it was quite unusual, sometimes even brutal, but that only made it more appealing. Oh yes, it also features Chris Huelsbeck’s iconic scores, carefully programmed to provide the highest quality reproduction of the original audio on the various sound chips that Chris has perfected. All four games are familiar, but each offers enough unique gameplay to keep you exploring for a long time. And for those who want to return to the adventure later, there are save states to pick up where you left off, a feature you’re sure to love. These are great features, as all four games stay true to their originals, but we’d love to see the rest of the games in the series included in this compilation.

The Nintendo Switch is Nintendo’s best option in the current situation because trying to compete with Sony and Microsoft in the mainstream market would be suicide. It already has, it has Switch and Switch lite, which is Nintendo’s current answer to the situation with the two older consoles. In 46 months, 79.87 million copies of the Nintendo Switch have been sold on the market. If the Switch had been released at the same time as the PS4 and X1, it could have suffered. The Switch hit the market at the right time, in the right place and with one of the best games of all time on its side. It was also the perfect console for Covid Life last year and the best game for it in Animal Crossing.
