Arcade Heroes – This is the first unreleased Sega game

This is the first unreleased Sega game since the release of Mario & Sonic At The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games Arcade Edition in February 2020, which also fell victim to bad timing in many ways. When you first hear about this game: it’s a licensed shooter based on the popular action movie franchise, but it doesn’t include a portrayal of movie stars like Tom Cruise. The only thing I can add about M:IA is that it’s a shame the game doesn’t come with a Mission: Impossible movie poster, something made specifically for the game that uses its art elements. I’ve been a lifelong video game fan and have been running my own The Game Grid Arcade in West Valley City, Utah since 2008. At this point, I also want to remind you that an 8-player version was in the works for Joypolis in Tokyo, but I don’t know if it was canceled due to the pandemic and all the changes at Sega. It was originally scheduled for spring 2020. A year later, Sega Amusements’ latest creation, Light Gun, is now available for pre-order. How fast you get out depends on how quickly you handle confrontations, whether they involve groups of enemies, bosses or all sorts of QTEs that help give this game a “spy thriller” feel. The game’s designer, Oga-Shi, designed it to “combine the competitive nature of Daytona USA racing with an action-packed shooter like Ghost Squad.” I’ve heard that some CEFs are doing well now, so this and other big arcade projects are coming out. I asked if anything has been added to the game during the downtime, but haven’t heard anything yet. Nonetheless, hopefully the road team will soon have more options for something in their budget. I’ll update this section if anything important comes up. Seems like a good fit, given the success of the IP.
