This week I did an impromptu live broadcast to test out the technology and sat down with Dustin Wilcox of Wilcox Arcade. I didn’t know “he” was doing a live interview before, so it should be fun – I’ll follow the conversation and any important questions that might come up over time, we’ll ask them. Dead Zone has two rounds, in each of which players can choose from 15 different weapons and compete against more than a dozen zombie characters as they travel through six different regions, with plenty of variety and reasons to play over and over again. I already included the game in the last Jurassic Park Pro post, but in case you missed it because you saw the post, here’s a promotional trailer, with 80s music. No, this classic arcade game will never be a coin-op again, but since it has that old arcade connection, you can mention that in case you missed it. Capcom will also bring more arcade titles to the current console generation, as you can see in the next trailer. While they are clearly intended for the game room at home, I think they might as well go to a public arcade. I don’t know how many facilities there are, but there are several, and to improve their software offerings, they just released this new title called Dead Zone Zombies. Speaking of live streaming, Sega Japan held an event this week to discuss the next iteration of the popular “Initial D” style driving competition.
