It’s one of the best games Sega has made in a while, and after another year of waiting, Sega Amusements is finally taking pre-orders for its exclusive shooter game, Mission: Impossible Arcade. The most unique aspect of this game is the team race, part Daytona and part Time Crisis, where two players on the same team must eliminate enemies and solve QTEs faster than the other team. Another little thing that was probably overlooked is that Sega is working on a special version of this game for Tokyo Joypolis that can accommodate up to eight players, although it is unknown if it will be made at this time; the same is true of the smaller 2p version. I’ve been into video games for a long time and have been running my own arcade, The Game Grid Arcade, in West Valley City, Utah, since 2008. Although this machine is licensed by Paramount and contains some familiar elements from the movies, it does not include portraits of famous actors such as Tom Cruise and Simon Pegg, as that would likely raise the price of the machine significantly. Since pre-orders are already open, you may want to contact your favorite Sega hardware retailer, as the machines will ship very soon — they said in March, but did not give an exact date. The game should be familiar to Sega fans, though it’s a mounted shooter that has a slightly different dynamic than a free-to-play shooter. If this is the first time we’re hearing about this game, we talked about it a while ago after it was revealed at IAAPA 2019. When there’s no one to play with, the computer is full of AI, but it’s certainly more exciting when you’re facing real people. I also confirmed that the “video wall” section shown in the videos above is an option. This will allow buyers to customize the game to their needs.
