Primary Academy How – How can you help parents help their

How can you help parents help their children learn? The 18 Learning Kits contain all the materials parents need for an entire week: a carefully selected set of Primary Academy materials, including videos, songs, worksheets, games, assignments, craft materials, a parent’s guide, goals, and a certificate. Having taught English to multilingual students in private language schools and summer schools in the UK, Helen has spent the past 13 years publishing language training materials for children, youth and adults on three continents. How about a treasure hunt in or around the house, such as the C’s? Can children find anything in the house that begins with the “C” sound in English: a cake, a sweet or a cup? In addition to the “C” sound hunt, there are other sound hunts in the neighborhood, a nature rainbow hunt, an alphabet hunt, a five-sentence hunt, a contradiction hunt, and a picture hunt. Helen Doran has extensive experience publishing EFL materials for children, teens and adults, and has previously taught multilingual students. Her blog now includes ideas and activities for using the Primary Academy at home with young English language learners. Arts and crafts activities are a great way for young learners to practice their language skills and express their creativity. These tools are suitable for use by preschool and elementary students at home to support learning and improve language skills. Three sets of materials with selected projects, puzzles, reading, vocabulary, and writing assignments will give your students plenty to work with. Don’t forget Seppo’s interactive vocabulary adventure games, which will give your kids a fun way to practice their vocabulary and language skills. But the good news is that with the right activities, English language learning can continue at home. You can print out school posters about the coronavirus to encourage social distancing, as well as organize hand-washing and time capsule activities. Helen is fascinated by the role of English as a lingua franca and has a master’s degree in global English from King’s College London. And if you’re still teaching in person, there are other helpful resources to help your students follow the COVID-19 safety guidelines. All of these and other activities are part of the Pearson English Academy. The packets are divided into sets for elementary, middle, and older children. The instructions are written in English, so parents must be proficient in English.

Arcade Heroes – It’s odd that they don’t mention Mario

It’s odd that they don’t mention Mario & Sonic Olympics 2020, an arcade game that has been available since last year and which they recently promoted on their social media. I’ve been a lifelong video game fan and have been running my own The Game Grid Arcade in West Valley City, Utah, since 2008. I think I should make another arcade game of the year, even though there have been a lot of complaints about people not being able to play these games the last few times. James Games Arcade was a fixture in the Southern California arcade landscape. Opened in 1978 by James Degner, it changed hands in 1982 and was sold to Rick Bakwe, who has been running it ever since. I finally got to work on my arcade trivia. Pandemic didn’t fail to deliver some sad news, and unfortunately we have to report another death in the video game world. The letter talked about further delays in game delivery, but some of the words in the last two paragraphs elicited strong reactions, such as no major updates for the next six weeks, no “remaining machines” and refunds for purchases. I haven’t followed the situation closely, but it seems odd that the company has made tons of vague but important promises, but is completely unable to provide simple updates showing that it has built cars. This is Newsbytes, a compilation of news from the world of arcade and pinball machines that I publish every weekend. I don’t know if they’ll be the next Skit-B pinball – I hope not, because this sort of thing is not good for the hobby or the industry in general – but they don’t seem to be doing themselves any favors right now. Before Samus Arana, there was Kissy, in a game that is still pretty obscure when it comes to 80’s arcade games. All of the videos I’ve shown on Super Nintendo World so far have been pretty short. If you want to check out Universal’s new theme park, check out this video from Paolo Frotocchio.

New Japanese Learning – These two recently moved to Kyoto

These two recently moved to Kyoto and have a lot to talk about. Even if you’re not too interested in the Kansai region, this podcast covers topics related to Japan in general and is also a good way to practice your Japanese listening skills. Once you’ve been to a restaurant, share your dining experience with your coworkers and even make a splash of Japanese Yelp by writing an online restaurant review. There are many such activities, and you can learn and practice different kinds of vocabulary and related expressions. You can use it as listening and speaking material in Japanese, as there are many language exchanges and Japanese study rooms where you can practice with native Japanese speakers and other Japanese students. We’ve talked about onomatopoeia books before, but Onomappu is the first YouTube channel we found that really explores this neglected topic. It was launched in early 2020 by Hitoki, a native Japanese speaker who is also fluent in English and Chinese, and the Onomatopoeias playlist already includes about 40 different videos. The USJETAA Japanese Book Group is a virtual book club organized by the American Exchange and Teaching Association in Japan and Daniel Morales, translator and co-author of the Japanese blog How To Japanese Times. The goal of this book is to help Japanese language students go beyond understanding the vocabulary and grammar of authentic texts and become critical readers who understand the social implications and context of writing in Japanese. Are you a fan of Kyoto or want to learn more about the city? Why not try the Kyotopia podcast? This podcast is provided by two bilingual speakers, an American named Mika, who has lived in Japan for 10 years, and Yuko-sensei, who works as a Japanese teacher. It is based on a short-term language and cultural exchange program at Hosei University and is designed to get participants out of the classroom, experiencing Japanese culture, interacting with locals and learning Japanese in the process. They post episodes once a week on topics such as cycling and drinking, all in Kyoto! As for the language used, the podcast seems to be 70% English and 30% Japanese. The “Reading” section provides an opportunity to test your knowledge of Kuzushiji and read actual ancient texts, using modern Japanese transcriptions, of course. Reading Japanese literature can be difficult, not only because of the kanji, but also because much of it is contextual. This reading group can help you read one sentence at a time. In these clips, a mother with seventeen years of experience teaching Japanese and her eight-year-old daughter work together to teach various grammatical structures. Are you an advanced reader of Japanese but still need help reading Japanese newspapers or novels? If so, this is the book for you. There are no subtitles, but since the actors in the movies usually speak very clearly, this is a good exercise in Japanese listening skills. Although the content and site are not specifically aimed at Japanese students, it’s a great way to immerse yourself in the world of theater. The presenter speaks at a natural speed, which can be a bit difficult for beginners, but he provides Japanese transcriptions in three different formats through a patron: Kana and Kanji, only Hiragana and Romaji.

‘ League – When League of Legends: The Wild Rift was first

When League of Legends: The Wild Rift was first announced in October 2019, I joined the chorus of people who suddenly thought, “It’s time! “. “‘ I even spent a lot of time playing the Wild Rift alphas that were available in various Asian territories, playing cat-and-mouse games to outrun VPN riot detection systems. It’s a long time to play a mobile game, but the feeling of a “real” MOBA in 15 minutes has always been magical for Wild Rift and Arena of Valor. There are no significant similarities between Wild Rift and the league itself, they are separate game economies with unlockables tied to each. With these new character models, Wild Rift looks oddly better on my iPhone 12 Pro than the “full” game on my fully upgraded gaming PC. I wish Riot had handled the unlockables for the PC and mobile versions of the game differently, because this issue came up in every conversation with League friends who were encouraged to try the game. Summoner’s Rift, the map on which the main game mode takes place, has been tweaked several times, but it’s hard to imagine how much technical debt for a game as old and complex as LoL has accumulated over the years. They use these new high-resolution character models for all sorts of things in the game, making the menus more vivid than in the “real” League, where the same features can be found on PC. League of Legends on mobile has a bit of an odd history, as Riot has claimed for years that the game can’t be played on smartphones whenever anyone asks about it. There seems to be a lot of potential drama when a mobile game looks better, has new code, gets new stuff, and there’s no way to satisfy longtime PC players with multi-platform rewards. Savage Rift is League of Legends with as few compromises as possible to make it easily playable on touchscreen and reasonable session times on mobile. Jared asked me if I was interested in covering League of Legends: Wild Rift beta, which TouchArcade was invited to do, knowing full well that I’m a complete degenerate when it comes to anything League of Legends-related and that I wouldn’t be able to say no. During the Q&A session I had with Riot, they stressed that not only is this a brand new game, but also new exclusive content such as exclusive mobile skins and game champions. Savage Rift breaks all that down by offering a brand new game that Riot built from the ground up.

Billie Jago – Billy Jago explains how ESAP helps motivate

Billy Jago explains how ESAP helps motivate “their” students as they prepare for the English test. It’s an easy-to-use online lesson program that helps teachers keep students engaged and motivated, and makes it easier and faster to plan effective lessons. “You can have students watch an actual video of a language test and analyze the test takers against the assessment criteria, and then give them feedback in class.” In terms of adult education, a well-structured lesson with a clear purpose and lots of opportunities for language practice is something my students really enjoy and benefit from,” “she” says. “You can also use an online platform like Flipgrid or Padlet if your students want the rest of the class to see or hear their recordings,” “she” adds. We talked to experienced teacher educators Michael Brand, Billy Jago and Magdalena Kania to get their opinions on the ESAP program. We also asked them for their top tips on teaching online. “And if the teacher praises students or eliminates misconceptions in the next lesson, that can also help motivate them,” Brand adds. For Billy, one way to motivate students is to encourage them to use Pearson’s online tools, which give them immediate feedback and grades. When it comes to pushing test takers into home practice, Billy has a lot of creative ideas. “So giving them choices, opportunities, and a range of options, such as questions, works really well with my adult students,” “she” says. Billie also suggests encouraging students to organize their own online discussions in pairs or groups so they can complete assignments. “For example, I like to have students send me something personal, read the answers aloud, and have the rest of the class guess whose answers,” “she” says. She may have several students working at once, such as on an acrostic poem with the class title written on the board. She says students are often more motivated and engaged in class when they feel responsible for their own learning and work at a pace that suits them. Teachers are very busy people, and using ESAP to plan our lessons can significantly reduce the workload,” “he” says.
